Philly Florist: Christmas Home decor

Christmas is around the corner and today we want to share a few tips that will transform your home into a beautiful Christmas Wonderland!

  1. Poinsettias: What says Christmas more than a beautiful poinsettia? Place these around the house and on the dinner table to create a festive look.
  2. Pine Cones: Adding a bowl of pinecones or placing them perfectly throughout a centerpiece adds a great holiday touch. If you use scented pine cones it will even add a wonderful scent.
  3. Greenery: Garland and other greenery are a must around the holidays. Whether you wrap this around your banisters or line your tables with them, it makes a perfect holiday touch to your home.
  4. Wreaths: Wreaths on your door not only looks appealing, but it helps create a warm welcoming vibe to guests.
  5. Ribbon: The best kind of ribbon to use for your decor are the 3 inch or wider ribbon. Use them to make beautiful thick bows to wrap around your tree, add in your centerpieces or wrap your presents with.
  6. Candles: Add a warm romantic feel to your home by adding candles throughout your home. Scented ones are even better!!!
  7. Ornaments: Other than on the tree, add ornaments in a bowl or in your centerpieces.
  8. Presents: Not only do you put presents underneath the tree but try adding little decor presents on your tables or even having large presents outside your door for an extra touch.
  9. Christmas Trees: Now who can forget to add a Christmas tree during the Holidays?
  10. Candy Canes: These aren’t just used to enjoy for a sweet treat, you can also add these to your decor as well.
  11. Berries: Cranberries or holly adds a pop of color to your arrangements and decor.
  12. Color Schemes: Don’t forget to stick with the common colors: red, green, gold and silver!

Thanksgiving is here and what better way to celebrate than by reflecting on those we are thankful for. At Elegant Events Florist, we are thankful for all of our loyal and amazing customers. Whether or not we helped design your wedding or simply made an arrangement for a special occasion, we are grateful for your service. Without our amazing customers, we would not be the success we are today. Nothing truly makes us happier than being able to create a beautiful floral arrangement that will help make someone’s day!

On Friday, October 20th our fearless leader, Donielle had a beautiful destination wedding in Southern California. The ceremony and reception were held at Rocky Oaks Estate Vineyards in Malibu, California. This beautiful venue consisted of 10 planted acres on a 37-acre plot. The estate sat 2,000 feet above the Santa Monica Mountains, overlooking a vineyard of 10 different grape types.

For the ceremony, Donielle floated down a beautiful staircase that led her to the altar overlooking the entire vineyard and Santa Monica Mountains. Nothing was sweeter than seeing the beautiful couple exchange their vows in front of their close friends and family.

Following the ceremony, guests were free to sit and eat outside as they watched the beautiful sunset. The outside guest tables consisted of rectangle tables covered in light-pink floor length linen table cloths. White chairs surrounded the tables and tealight candles filled the middle of the table to provide that perfect romantic feeling. Following the dinner, everyone then took the party inside for more festivities (grand entrance, cake cutting, first dance, etc).
