Philly Florist: Custom Wedding Stationary

Each wedding starts with finding the perfect save the date stationary to send out to guests. These save the dates are the perfect sneak peak into giving your guests a taste of your big day. This is why finding the perfect company/person to help create your wedding vision on paper is important. In addition to creating your save the dates, this company/person can also help you create several other types of stationary that will wow your guests. See below a couple examples of "must-have" custom stationary.

Wedding Invitations: This one is a no brainer. Of course, you need the PERFECT wedding invitations to help your guests get excited about your big day.
Ceremony Programs: Ceremony programs help guests know exactly what is going on and helps them determine how long each item is going to take. Not to mention if it’s a hot day, these can turn into great fans!
Dinner Menus: Make it easier for your guests by displaying a menu on each place setting, letting them know exactly what they are going to be eating for the night. If you have a buffet, display signs next to each item instead of the place setting.
Reception Entrance Signs: Display a “Mr and Mrs” sign or the bride and groom’s name at the entrance of your reception.
Seating Charts: Make it easier for guests to know where they will be sitting by displaying a seating chart for guests to see.
Sign-In Table Sign: Let guests know where or what they need to sign for your “sign-in” table.
Gift Table Sign: Let guests know where to set their cards or gifts by displaying a sign on the table.
Favor Table Sign: Display a sign on the favor table letting guests know to take one before they leave.

Philly Florist: Duane & Michael’s Wedding

Duane and Michael were married on June 28th, 2019 at the Le Meridien in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. They held their ceremony in the cozy Abele Library in the Le Meridien. This beautiful ceremony space did not need any added decor because it was already a stunning room. With the beautiful mahogany wood, circular chandeliers to line the ceiling and a fireplace for the background, it was the perfect place to say "I Do."

After the beautiful ceremony, the wedding was moved to the banquet hall in the Le Meridien. Some of our favorite things about this reception included:

The mixture of tables. The room consisted of round and rectangle tables. The rectangle tables were in an X shape in the middle of the room while round tables surrounded the room.
The X shape rectangle tables in the middle were covered in black satin linens with sheer gold runners down the middle of them to give them that extra pop of color. The round tables were covered in white satin linens with sheer black runners (in an X shape).
The rectangle tables had a large gold glass vase with a round white floral arrangement on top. This was placed in the middle of the X shape rectangle tables. Various size vases with tea light candles lined down the middle of each rectangle table.
The circle tables consisted of a center clear vase with white calla lilies and clusters of glass vases with tea light candles to surround it.
The detail on Duane’s wedding dress and veil was absolutely stunning and it went perfectly with her blush and ivory bridal bouquet.
The several food stations was a popular hit with the guests on top of their delicious plated meals.
Last but not least, the guests were absolutely loving the dance floor the entire night.

Overall Duane and Michael’s wedding was an absolute vision and we had so much fun working with the lovely couple to help make their wedding vision come true.

Philly Florist & Planner: Independent Wedding Planner vs. On-site Venue Coordinator

Are you familiar with the difference between having a wedding planner versus an on-site coordinator? Although they may sound like they do the exact same thing, they actually have different rolls that will play different parts in planning your wedding. Each of them bring something different to the table that will help you create that picture perfect wedding day.

Independent Wedding Planner:

A wedding planner will handle every aspect of your wedding, including the venue. They will help you with the planning of your: floral, venue, food, alcohol, dress, makeup/hair, etc.
A planner stays by your side all day and all night.
A planner is with you every step of the way, through the good and bad.
A wedding coordinator contacts ALL your vendors before the wedding to ensure everything is good to go and that they will be there at the appropriate time.
A planner will help you create YOUR vision and execute the details.
Your planner is there to make sure not only everything goes well on the venue contract side but with all of your vendors as well.

On-site Venue Coordinator:

A venue coordinator handles everything that has to do with the actual venue (i.e. food, setup, bathrooms, bar, etc). They will make sure everything is up to par in regards to the contract you have with the venue specifically.
A venue coordinator will typically stay until dinner is served and most of the time will leave afterwards. They make sure everything is setup and has begun smoothly, where they will then pass the responsibility on to an “event hostess/captain.”
A venue coordinator will be there in time of need, when it's time to help pack up or track down anything in the venue.
A venue coordinator might contact other vendors, but usually they just ask you who your vendors are to note on their end.
The venue may have multiple events going on so they may be juggling other events as well.

Ultimately if you have the option we highly recommend having BOTH types of planners for your big day. This will ensure EVERYTHING is covered and nothing gets missed.

Wedding day emergency kit. Every bride and wedding party should prepare an emergency kit for the big day. This wedding kit should be packed with everything you could possibly need in case of a wedding emergency (wardrobe gone wrong, illness, hunger/thirst, etc). Most wedding planners have their own emergency kit but if you do not have a planner or you prefer to make your own, see our recommendations below of what to pack:
