Our Elegant Events Florist team knows that 2020 has been challenging, to say the least. Everyone has seen lots of Philadelphia weddings canceling and postponing.
Fortunately, we’ve also seen several Micro Weddings, Minimonies, and even weddings moving location and continuing on as safely as possible.

Micro Weddings
Brittney and Dwayne chose to keep their October 10th wedding date and have a Micro Wedding.
Technically, Micro Weddings are defined as a full wedding and reception with fewer than 50 guests. Due to local COVID-19 regulations, they limited their wedding size to immediate family and friends. However, others were able to participate virtually online!
Their Liberty View Ballroom wedding was absolutely beautiful! The backdrop for their tented outdoor wedding ceremony was an incredible Moon Gate wedding arch decorated with bright orange and purple florals with long trailing greenery.
The purple and orange continued through the wedding with Brittney’s loose hand-tied bouquet with a collar of dusty miller and the clusters of greenery tied with purple ribbon lining the aisle.
To promote physical distancing, guest tables were set with only four people to a table. The tables were dressed in white linen with beaded glass charger plates, clear table numbers, and brightly colored floral arrangements in glass cubes. Floating candles in modern glass containers completed the design. The shimmer and bright purple and orange continued on the couple’s wedding cake, as well.

Minimonie
On June 29th, our Elegant Events Florist team worked with Pamela and Justin to provide some beautiful personal flowers for their minimonie.
A minimonie is an intimate wedding ceremony. With CDC restrictions across the country, the wedding industry saw a lot of these. Most couples wanted to keep their original wedding date, have an intimate ceremony, and then sometime late plan a bigger celebration.
Pamela and Justin’s minimonie included their immediate family, custom masks, and a few beautiful personal flowers. The bride wore a floral crown in soft cream and blush tones, with her bridal bouquet and the groom’s boutonniere in matching colors. The blush roses, pale pink hypericum berries, veronica, and seeded eucalyptus added texture to the soft romantic color palate.

Moving Weddings
To continue on with their wedding plans Nicole and Brian chose to move their wedding plans. Relocating the wedding from the initially planned wedding venue to a family member’s home allowed lots of outdoor space for their wedding day.
The bride’s white rose, and stargazer lily bouquet was fabulous. The rich colors continued into the bridal parties’ dresses and bouquets, as well as the couple’s wedding arch.

Monica and Tim moved their wedding just a bit farther. COVID-19 restrictions in Maryland allowed for a few more guests, so their wedding was moved to the Elk Forge Inn.
Their church was magnificent with unique stained-glass windows. So, two altarpieces were needed for the wedding ceremony, beyond personal flowers for the family and wedding party.
The stunning colors and textures of the bride’s bouquet were seen throughout all of the personal flowers.
Another favorite floral piece was a garland added to the back of the couple’s incredible car.
At the outdoor tented wedding reception, a similar floral garland accented the couple’s sweetheart table along with a collection of candle goblets and floating candles.
The wedding reception’s blue and white linens were dressed with a combination of high and low centerpieces. Gold metallic risers lifted beautiful garden styled arrangements with gold votives and cold framed table numbers continuing the golden glow.
The outdoor wedding, physical distancing, and guests wearing masks made for a beautiful and safe event.
